Hole #2 - This par 5 is reachable
in two for only the long hitters. The majority of
players will want to place their second shots
wisely to give them the easiest 3rd shot into this
severely sloped green. Be careful off the tee,
shots to the right often fall off into #3 fairway.
Once again, it's wise to stay below the hole on
your approach.
Hole #3 - This par 4 features a
severely sloping fairway. Most tee shots will
funnel into the "hole" to the left of the fairway
due to this slope. From this landing you will want
to choose your club wisely. You do not want to be
over this green! Tee shots to the right will often
find #2 fairway which will result in a punch out or
a play over the tree-line to the green. Very tough
hole.
Hole #6 - This is arguably the
toughest hole at Duham Hills. The combination of
length and the difficulty on the green makes this
one tough Par 4. Off the tee you need to hit it
long and straight. Your shot to the green needs to
stay below the hole, short and left of the pin.
This green is very steep and often results in a
three putt.
Hole #7 - This hole is your chance
to make up some ground. A short par 4 that is
reachable off the tee by the big hitters. Most will
lay up with an iron just short of the fairway
bunker. The green is very tough. It slopes from
back to front. Keep it in front the hole to have
the best chances for a birdie.
Hole #12 - This uphill par 5
places a premium on your second shot. Only the
longest hitters will even have a chance to reach
this green in two. You will want to think carefully
about where to place your second shot. Avoid the
bunkers and leave yourself as easy shot uphill to
this green. You will probably need one more club on
your approach. This is a touch green, so try to
stay below the hole.
Hole #13 - This downhill par 5 is
reachable with two well placed shots. You should
hang to the right on your tee shot as the left side
falls down into #12. Your second shot will have to
be a high hook to reach this green successfully.
You may want to just lay it up and play for the
birdie with your wedge. Another difficult green, so
try to stay below the hole.
Hole #14 - Many will argue that
this is the toughest hole at Dunham...some may
argue that it is the toughest hole in Livingston
County. It's a long par 4 with a pond on the left.
This pond will force you to lay it up off the tee.
This layup will result in a long shot to green.
This green is huge and slopes from left to right. A
par on this hole feels like a birdie.
Hole #17 - This par 4 has a tough
tee shot. The left OB is in play and catches many
shots that veer off line. You should hang to the
right off the tee. The green is very deep and will
place a premium on club selection. Just like the
tee shot, you will need to stay away from the left,
as it falls off very quickly.
